Jolene  Hanson

curator/director/photographer/consultant/human

Born and raised on a dairy farm in Starksboro, Vermont my passion for photography kicked in as a pre-teen. I would “sneakily borrow” my moms camera to take a snap shot here and there. Finally my parents caught on and bought me a point and shoot for Christmas.  I started shooting the animals on our farm, our dog, and the landscape around me. I received an AS in photography from Endicott College. My focus was on the challenge between the natural world and manmade elements. I then went on to The University of Vermont where I received a BA in Art Education. Curiosity and drive has allowed me opportunity to learn and master the inner workings of creative business.

I continue to have an interest in photography, painting, printmaking, fiber and construction. I am a creative thinker, producer and curator at heart.

I enjoy learning and avoid humdrum. Always looking to build on existing knowledge while widening the scope of applied understanding.
